Quill pen with a flower on top

 

A quill pen glides across the petal smooth paper

 

It leaves inky lines forming words to you

 

Paper after paper

 

I write

 

Letter after letter, stamp after stamp

 

There’s a silky flower on top of the pen

 

It, other than you and me, has read everything that i’ve written

 

And just like the flowers you’ve sent me, this one is the only one that hasn’t wilted away

 

Wilted away from me, just like you did. . .
